Cimanimanim Yum!!!

Well, one morning I woke up to thoughts of braided bread and somehow it turned into a twist on cinnamon rolls... literally! I told a few of you that I would take pictures of the process and put them on my blog, so here you go!

Here's the cute dough ball that needs to rise...

Candace and I left for a while and the dough didn't rise all that much.

I rolled it out in a long rectangle...

We put lots of goods on that rectangle!!! Brown sugar and cinnamon bath anyone!?

Then we cut that rectangle into long 6 strips.

This is what those strips looked like when we tubeulated them... that's probably not the correct term, but oh well!

The final result! Drum roll please...

My favorite part was the braiding! It made it look good, and is just what I pictured!!! :)

Hurray for making something look like you thought it could!

We didn't have a large cookie sheet, so we baked them on a pizza pan! :)

After we baked them (for a little too long) Candace spread butter on the top.

I'm going to have to practice making tubes that don't open...

There are a lot of things that I need to improve upon for next time. Not bad for a first time, though...
...if I do say so myself!

Music Time... HELP!!

So, I decided I wanted to start getting rid of all my burned cd's and buying only the songs that I completely love! However, I can't really think of any at the moment... so I was thinking that anyone and everyone could tell me a few of their favorite songs right now! :)

I like a lot of songs, but I don't know artists and song titles, so maybe the songs that you like are the same ones that I like but I just don't know it yet! (Try to say that big run-on sentence 10 times fast!) :)

The Sun is a mass of Incondescent Gas... however you spell that word.

Well, I just decided to update my blog, but this time I don't have pictures to show. Let's just say that the sun is hot and being in it for long periods of time without sunscreen isn't the best idea ever!

You know you have a bad sunburn when you wake up throughout the night because your back stings all over 30 seconds after you turn your head. It's amazing how such a little movement can hurt so much!

Anyhow, there's my two cents!

My EARLY Birthday present!!! :)

Well, a week ago Candace called and asked if I could go to Sea World on Saturday (three days later)!!! I was so excited to go! The last time I had been was when I was 6 or 7? I'm not even sure when it was.

Well, we got there at 11am and didn't leave until it closed at 11pm that night! It was so exciting!!! We saw lots of the shows throughout the day and were able to walk around and see lots of things. One of my favorites happened to be the one I wasn't very excited about... it was a pool full of different rays (stingrays, guitarrays...) and you were able to pet them. Well, I got hooked! It was so weird to wait around for them to come to the edge and I was trying really hard to get a good picture. They are harder to photograph! :)

This is Candace, Emerson (a boy she works with, from the Philippeans) and I... it was a great day! :)

These are my favorite pictures!!! The first one is of the whale trying to get everyone wet. They can soak quite a large number of the crowd... I was quite impressed!

This one is my favorite! :) He got sooo high! Then during the night show he did a flip off one of the whales, but that picture was too blurry.

This one is just to give you a taste of the night show... it was really pretty!

THANKS FOR THE GREAT BIRTHDAY, CANDACE!!! I LOVE YOU!

........................................................................

The rest of the trip...

After the temple we spent the night at Josh and Nat's again. Then we drove up to Trav and Lins' home and spent a night there! I don't know why we didn't think to take pictures at all their homes... The night we spent with Travis and Lindsey we went to a pretty fun place called Dave and Buster's! Travis told us before going that it is basically a Chuck E Cheese for adults. He was completely right!!!
The next day we drove up to Bakersfield to move Candace into her new place...

Well, you can't be in Cali and not go to this fast food place... :) It was Candace's first time!!!

Here are some pictures I took while we waited for our food...

Our friend Sarah, who happenes to be from Bakersfield, came with us! Hurray for IN-N-OUT!!!

We finally arrived in Cali!!!

Well, we finally got to Josh and Nat's home late the night we left Las Vegas. The next morning we were on our way to San Diego.

This is a great view of my windshield! :) Would you look at that crack!? It's a pretty nice one, if I do say so myself. I may feel a little out of place with my car, but it makes me happy!

I'm definately an Idaho girl! ;)

The first place we went was to Coronado Island... we went to the beach there. It was a little chilly, but there were a ton of pelicans fishing and that was cool!

The next place that we went was to Old Town. We went to the Mormon Battalion visitor's center and then walked all around town, taking tours in old buildings. We got hungry and decided to eat at this Mexican restaurant... it was pretty good...

From Old Town we went to the San Diego temple to do baptisms... it was funny, cause neither of us had been there before and didn't know what we were doing. This temple is one of those that you knock on the door to get into the baptistry, but the door you knock on is inside the temple... different from the Logan temple. So, we were finally able to figure that part out. Then when we got in and went the wrong way... it was funny, but we eventually made it and it was a great experience! :)

Can you see Candace in this pictuer!? I took this one! :)
This one is beautiful! When we got out of the temple it was dark outside and the lights were so pretty.

More of the trip long, long ago!...

While in Vegas (a month or so ago), Candace and I decided to roam around in Ceasar's Palace. There is this store that I happen to love. It's called S.A.O. Schwartz. It has all sorts of toys!!! Here are a few of the pictures taken in that store...

The second floor has lots of legos and puzzles at the top of the stairs. Then if you keep walking you come to a huge wall full of Monopoly games of all kinds (golfing monopoly, lord of the rings monopoly, race car monopoly, star wars monopoly...)!

This was actually a lot harder than it looked! But, I sure would like to have one! :) Amy, how do you like this piano!?

After walking around for a few hours we decided to head to California. However, Candace had never seen the water show outside the Belagio. So, I asked the man how long we'd have to wait to see it and he said they go off every half hour and would be starting in... an hour or two? I can't remember. Well, we decided to wait. We waited and about 10 minutes before the show they came on the intercom and said that it would not be happening because of the wind. So, we waited the half hour for the next one... about 10 minutes before we heard the same thing. We decided to wait one more time and pray that the wind would die down. The wind didn't die down, so the third time it was canceled we decided to finally leave.

We'll just have to catch the show on the way back home in August! :)
